COMMUNITY CONSULTATION REPORT

The windfarm community fund panel’s report detailing the results from the community consulation earlier in the year is now available.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL

The next meeting of the Community Council will take place at 7:00pm on 14th December at the Macfie Hall.

The new council has been elected and offices allocated at its first meeting. The Council now comprises:

Gavin Whittaker (Chair), Graham Allison (Secretary), John Williams (Treasurer), John Borthwick, Michael Pettitt and Chris Nicol

HERIOT STRIDERS AND STRAGGLERS

The schedule for this year’s walks is now available in the Striders and Stragglers section of the website. All are welcome to come along - the next walk will be in August, details to be given later.

DOG FOULING AND WANDERING

Following ongoing complaints to the Community Council from a number of residents, could all dog owners please note that it is an offence to allow a dog to wander uncontrolled or to allow a dog to foul a public area and, in addition to being antisocial, both are punishable by fines. SBC have been made aware of the missing sign from the playpark entrance of Shoestanes Terrace but, in the meantime, could we remind owners that dogs are not permitted in the playpark.
