The Wull Muir Wind Farm went to appeal after it was declined by the SBC planning committee in 2024.
The Reporter decision on 14th January 2025 is to allow the appeal and grant planning permission.

Details of application
This is an application to build a wind farm of 8 turbines with a height to wing tip of 150m within Heriot. This is at the planning application stage.
The site is located 1km west of Shoestanes Farm, with the nearest turbine 1.5km west of Heriot Station. The site is 1km north west of Heriot Primary School with the nearest turbines within 1.5km of the B709.
Planning Application
Energiekontor submitted their planning application for a revised scheme for Wull Muir Wind Farm in 2022. Planning permission was refused by SBC in 2024 and went to appeal.
